We are looking for a high calibre Project Manager to support our client in delivering business critical projects.
Our client is embarking on a new and very exciting journey to transform the gaming experience for customers and to reposition themselves as an electronic led multi-channel gaming business. This a really exciting time for our client and they want the successful candidate to be a part of this, within their IT function and as a project manager you will be at the forefront of this, running and delivering work streams in multiple projects.
We are looking for a candidate who thrives in changing driven environments and can direct, manage and motivate the project team. You will need to be able to run the stages on a day-to-day basis by planning and managing the deployment of resources to meet project milestones and financial commitments in a fast paced business.
You will be transforming the customer experience, driven by the changing technology landscape and customers' demands for a greater range of digital gaming formats and technology. This is a Full-Time and permanent position. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining project plans, detailed stage plans and exception plans as required and proactively communicating project information to all stakeholders
- Leading and managing the project team, with the authority and responsibility to run the project on a day-to-day basis.
- Applying standard project management approaches to the specific requirements of the project
- Designing and applying an appropriate project management framework for the project (utilising in house project standards)
- Planning, monitoring, closing and reviewing the project
- Liaison with Head of IT Projects, PMO and related project roles to ensure overall direction and integrity of the project
- Identifying, managing and mitigating project risks, including the development of contingency plans
- Overall progress and use of resources, initiating corrective action where necessary.
- Change control and any required configuration management
- Identify and obtain any support and advice required for the management, planning and control of the project
- Ensuring that the solution is of acceptable quality
- Conducting post project evaluation to assess how well projects were managed
Knowledge and Experience
- Significant experience of IT project delivery experience, including management of software and infrastructure deliverables
- Experience of managing projects that include data/Business Intilligence/ CRM and Online services is desirable
- Experience of managing 3rd party suppliers is essential
- Experience of using Agile and ideally Waterfall
- Delivery of Retail, Leisure or Hospitality based projects is desirable
