The Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCoA) is the professional body responsible for the specialty of anaesthesia throughout the UK, and represents an aggregate membership of 21,000 doctors who work in the NHS. Anaesthesia is the largest single hospital specialty in the NHS and two-thirds of all hospital patients will come into contact with an anaesthetist.

The Membership Engagement and Marketing Assistant will assist the organisation’s vital role of improving membership engagement with its 21,000+ members, through effective support and marketing.

What we are looking for:

In order to thrive in this role you will need to be highly organised, motivated, results driven and not afraid to suggest new ideas!

This role is part time (3.5 days a week) and ideal for someone needing flexibility and/or cannot commit to working a full week yet wishes to have a role that has impact within the organisation. The days have not been set and can be negotiated with you.

Membership Engagement and Marketing Assistant Responsibilities:

- Assistance to the implementation of the membership engagement strategy

The role holder will also have the responsibility for providing the administrative support and light communications for all the membership services of a small association (note: this association is separate from the organisation but we administer their membership service).  This will provide the role holder with practical, hands-on experience with membership matters such as membership renewals, communications and important business.

Key projects you will be supporting this year include:

- Implementation of the organisation’s first membership engagement strategy

- Analysing trends and implementing membership and marketing campaigns

- Supporting existing and launching new membership categories/grades

The organisation – why join us, what’s in it for you?

This is an exciting time to be joining us, as the Communications and External Affairs directorate is rapidly expanding and the work of the membership team moves from a transactional approach to an engagement approach.
