The right candidate will be a talented web designer (no coding required), able to produce creative and professional website designs in response to challenging briefs.
Your primary role will be on their bespoke website team, helping to deliver website projects to clients in a range of industries and sectors. You'll be responsible for producing compelling design concepts, and taking projects through to final design signoff including mobile designs, and working with developers to make sure your designs are implemented as you intended. They have a quality-first approach; therefore, they are looking for someone who appreciates the finer details of good quality work and can also appreciate the overarching creative vision and commercial goals of a project.
You'll work closely with developers, project managers, and their creative director who oversees all web projects.
Responsibilities
- Producing design concepts that look great and meet client needs
- Seeing the design process through from initial concept to project completion
- Interact with developers and project managers to ensure final product meets their quality requirements
- Coming up with, and communicating (verbally and visually) compelling ideas in response to complex project briefs
- Producing website wireframes/sketches to quickly communicate layout ideas
- Working productively in a small team towards a shared goal
Requirements
- A good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/Sketch and Illustrator
- A strong portfolio of website designs
- 3+ years of commercial experience
- Knowledge of UX/UI
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness and ability to ask questions
- A proactive and positive attitude
