This growing digital design and marketing agency requires an enthusiastic Junior digital designer. You'll be part of their in-house team of handpicked creative geniuses and marketing gurus and you'll be responsible to their Senior Creative.
It's a fast paced environment and they are a busy agency, but they are a friendly bunch and they want to see everyone grow and be the best they can be. Making the tea won't be part of your job description, it's something they all take a share in.
As a creative company, they love new ideas and they are passionate about improving all the time, so there's a real opportunity for the right individual to flourish here as the company grows. Of course you'll need a cool head, good sense of humour and a problem solving mindset - they know you'll need to ask lots of questions too.
You'll need to be PC or Mac literate with good general software skills (They use Gsuite). It would be an advantage if you have some Photoshop skills. Above all you should be a creative - you should have an eye for design and typography and be passionate about making stuff look good.
You'll need an understanding of digital design, a grasp of basic HTML / CSS would be an advantage, plus you need to be comfortable doing basic layouts and designs for clients.
You'll be joining a company who loves making a difference to their clients and totally nuts about delivering not just good, but outstanding digital experiences. So they are looking for someone who shines, a self starter, a quick learner, someone who never says 'that will do' but always aims to do their very best work, each time. Is this you?
The Role
- Designing graphics, banners, email campaigns and small websites
- Helping the design team with their regular support work
- Sourcing photography, editing and image manipulation
- Project administration and small marketing tasks
- Supporting the project team as required
Specific skills and abilities
- An eye for design, typography and layout in a digital age
- Good PC or Mac skills and of desktop applications (Gsuite / MS Office)
- Photoshop / Adobe suite skills would be an advantage
Attributes of the successful candidate
- Excited and keen to learn within an agency environment
- Able to take instruction well while acting with own initiative
- Passionate about design and attention to detail
- A team player with good interpersonal skills
- Willingness to roll up sleeves and muck in to get the job done
In order to qualify for this role, they will either need to see a portfolio of appropriate creative work (this doesn't have to be commercial, it can be school or college projects). In the absence of this they will require a small design task to be completed.
