They have 2 x Technician vacancies to work in their Safety Product Testing Department.

The role will involve working as part of a small team undertaking physical testing of PPE in particular of protective gloves. Your duties will include carrying out routine physical testing in accordance with International and European standards in a fast-turnaround environment. The role requires the operation of test equipment to generate results which are recorded on paperwork and on electronic results sheets in preparation for transfer to test reports. You will also be required to prepare test samples prior to testing, maintain tidiness of laboratory and to maintain sample storage's. You may also be required to assist Technologists when dealing with customers during visits and seminars.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a methodical approach to work, have a meticulous eye for detail and be able to demonstrate good multi-tasking skills. The role will require someone who is equally able and comfortable to work on their own and as part of a team.

Candidates should have GCSE grades at C or above in a range of Science based subjects. Experience of working in a Test Laboratory would be desirable.

Cover will be required between 07:00 hrs and 19:00 hrs.
