Abatec are looking to recruit a Procurement Assistant or Assistant Buyer for our leading Civil Engineering Company. Based from their offices in Avonmouth the purpose of this role is to support the procurement of Marine Work Packages for projects being carried out at Hinkley Point.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement in accordance with company procurement process.
Assist with the administration and management of the tender process to meet project schedule.
Produce accurate and logical quotation comparisons for internal review by the procurement manager.
Maintain excellent communications with internal clients to ensure the provision of an efficient, timely and high quality procurement service.
Support to Procurement manager and procurement deliverables to the project.
Building strong working relations with supply chain and all stakeholders.
Customer interaction and some attendance at meetings, where required.
Reporting progress of procurement activities via the procurement schedule and provide monthly updates to Head of Procurement and Project.
Qualifications
CIPs or studying towards would be beneficial.
Supply Chain / procurement experience at Administrator or Assistant level
Personal Specification
Procurement and Supply chain experience.
Administration of requisitions, purchase orders and tender process experience.
