Job Title: SHEQ Supervisor

Location: Teesside

Hours: Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm

Salary: Competitive

The company is a friendly multinational Chemical Blending and Storage company that provides their customers with a world-class service and advice on creating products to their specific requirements. Their operational site in Teesside is now looking for a SHEQ supervisor who will ensure all facets of their Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental systems are adhered to and audited to ensure compliance.

You will be expected to ensure that all relevant paperwork relating to the onsite activities are maintained. This is a very exciting opportunity to join a growing, multinational company leading the charge in the chemical industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all weekly and daily inspections are carried out without exception
  • Perform random spot checks on staff to ensure compliance with the systems and procedures we have.
  • In the case of non compliance help to assist the site management team in implementing thorough and effective preventative measures to prevent recurrence
  • Help to develop relevant SHEQ KPI's for the site in line with the operations that are conducted on the site.
  • Manage any customer complaint issues we have on the site from receipt of non-conforming product/issues to the closing out of the complaint with definitive, thorough and effective preventative measures.
  • Manage the BSI audits we receive as a site and take an active part in any visits from the relevant competent authority

Key Requirements (E (Essential), D (Desirable), A (Application), I (Interview)):

Experience:

  • Knowledge of the Chemical industry (E)(l).
  • Knowledge of working on a COMAH site (D).
  • Knowledge of working within a certified SHEQ environment (E).
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (NVQ 3) - Minimum 3 years practical experience.
  • ISO - Internal Auditor Certificate (D).

Knowledge, Understanding, and Skills:

  • Communication Skills (E).
  • Organisation & Planning - (E).
  • Computer literacy (Word and Intermediate Level Excel) (E).
  • Ability to influence others (E).
  • Ability to plan and work to deadlines (E).
  • Technical Qualifications - Chemistry Graduate (D).
