GDPR Data Protection Project Manager with excellent management, leadership and organisational skills is required by a leading Charity based in Reading, Berkshire.

SALARY: Circa. £50,000 pro rata

DOGS: There are frequently dogs on site and in the offices. Therefore, you must be comfortable with dogs in the workplace.

KEY REQUIREMENTS: Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in delivering Data Protection Solutions along with Project Management, working knowledge of data protection legislation and the ability to quickly understand the requirements of GDPR. You will also be a qualified Data Protection Practitioner.

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new 15-month contract job opportunity for a GDPR Data Protection Project Manager that has excellent management, leadership and organisational skills.

Working as the GDPR Data Protection Project Manager you will provide specialist knowledge in data privacy to enable implementation of the organisation’s GDPR project, ensuring full compliance with all processes and procedures by April 2018. 

As the GDPR Data Protection Project Manager you will be responsible for all activities relating to the preparation of the GDPR implementation. This is a new role with significant scope to influence policy and processes across the organisation.

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities as the GDPR Data Protection Project Manager:

  • Lead a comprehensive review of GDPR requirements, and their impact on current data practices and procedures throughout the organisation
  • Day-to-day management of the GDPR Project Team
  • Monitor and report on the project progress in a clear, concise, and timely manner to Project Board and PMO
  • Identify, assess, manage and monitor risks, issues, dependencies and change requests to ensure the project is delivered on time and meets the cost and quality criteria, within agreed tolerances and escalating those which exceed agreed boundaries for resolution
  • Oversee the implementation plans to ensure and sustain compliance with new regulations by April 2018
  • Work with the Learning Development Department to develop an effective GDPR training program

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven track record in delivering Data Protection Solutions along with excellent Project Management skills
  • Working knowledge of data protection legislation and the ability to quickly understand the requirements of GDPR
  • Qualified Data Protection Practitioner
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent leadership skills to manage and motivate core GDPR team members and sub-groups
  • Excellent prioritisation and organisation skills – time and document management
  • Ability to work across multiple workstreams
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
