Full/Part Time Lecturers in Foundation Learning

2.0FTE Posts Available

up to £33,175 p.a. (full time equivalent)

pro rata for part time

Are you the special person we need to complement their already outstanding team in the Foundation Learning Department?

They require a teacher of life, vocational and work skills for students with learning difficulties and disabilities. The successful applicant will be experienced in working with young people who may display behavioural, emotional and social issues. They are specifically looking for teachers versatile to teach a range of entry level topics. This will be a challenging role but one which will be hugely rewarding for the right person.

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic member of staff within the Foundation Learning Team, delivering high quality training, tutoring, assessment and support to learners across this outstanding department. Your job will be to inspire learners from Pre entry level to level 1 to reach their goals and achieve success. You will be sensitive to your learners' needs whilst enabling them to express and reach their true potential. You will be experienced in recording and monitoring each step of progress however big or small, completing records and tracking your support of young people.

As many of these learners will be preparing for living independently or for the world of work you may be expected to support learners outside the formal college setting as well as in the classroom, workshop or internal work experience placement.

Candidates should be innovative and pro-active in their approach to working with learners and have a commitment to further training and development as new initiatives evolve.
