Our client now has a growing customer base, and is successfully re-establishing their brand. They are currently looking for someone to complement their procurement team, working with local, national and international suppliers. They offer you the chance to become a key player of a growing team, with excellent prospects.

Main Tasks
??? Creating enquiry packages and following through to order placement
??? Negotiating and agreeing prices / delivery dates in line with manufacturing requirements
??? Daily communications with suppliers to ensure OTD
??? Developing relationships with suppliers and internal customers
??? Achieving and demonstrating cost savings during project duration
??? Attending project meetings both internal and external


Experience Required :
??? Experience of machining, fabrication and manufacturing disciplines ??? advantageous
??? Experience of use of ERP systems - advantageous
??? Background in workshop consumables and plant maintenance ??? advantageous
??? Ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines - critical
??? Must be able to demonstrate willingness to learn and develop
??? Excellent communication skills
??? Ability to work as part of a small team as well as unsupervised
??? Proficient in use of Microsoft Office packages ??? advantageous
??? Have a clear and confident telephone manner
??? Be self-motivated, enthusiastic and trustworthy
??? CIPS qualification (or working towards) ??? advantageous but not essential.
