Teaching Assistant - English

Are you a English graduate looking to support KS3/KS4 children within the classroom?

Do you have experience working with 11-16 year olds?

We are looking to recruit a English teaching assistant for a secondary school in the Stockport area, the role will be to start from September on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities:

• Working 1:1 and in small groups with KS3 and KS4 learners giving them extra support within their English lessons
• Working alongside experienced English teachers who can help you with any guidance you require
• Make sure that the pupils that you support are able to engage in learning and stay on task during the lesson or activity
• Manage challenging pupil behaviour
• Guide and monitor pupil progress

Requirements:

• Professional attitude to your work
• A positive approach to working with children and the ability to motivate, inspire and build rapport
• Willingness to keep up to date with educational policy and training related to your role
