IT Delivery Manager

* Job Duties

* Accountability for the end-to-end IT delivery for the project portfolio in conjunction with Business Change Project Managers and IT Suppliers
* Manage the IT demand planning, forecasting, budgeting, supply planning of projects in coordination with Business Change
* In collaboration with Business Change, oversee and approve the development of the IT aspects of the business case for new programmes/projects and ensure that the solutions are fit for purpose.
* Act as primary point of contact for all aspects of IT Change - including representation where appropriate at Steering Committees to ensure responsibility and accountability for IT delivery
* Provide appropriate challenges to IT Managed Service Provider costs, solutions, timescales and services
* Ensure appropriate governance of all IT aspects of projects/programmes within the portfolio to include ensuring all IT supply is covered by formal commercial arrangements and appropriate contractual agreements. Contribute to the development of IT supplier contracts as required.
* Ensure all IT aspects of projects adhere to an appropriate IT development methodology (e.g. Agile, Waterfall)
* Responsible for ensuring appropriate engagement of Shared Services functions including Security, SAC, CRB and Architecture
* Manage the operational supplier relationship and performance between the business and the Managed Service Partner, including the development and tracking of key performance indicators, benchmarking, disaster recovery planning and use of appropriate management information.

* Skills Required

* IT Delivery Experience - Minimum 8 years
* Financial services experience
* Deep understanding of the software development processes, methodologies, tools and standards (Agile & Waterfall) for both the development and support of applications and the use of these to improve the cost, speed and quality of development services
* Deep understanding of the IT and Systems strategy and its links to the business strategy.
* Is proficient in the hierarchy and culture of own, customer and supplier organisation's and being able to identify the decision makers and influencers in order to successfully implement target operating model.
* Project Management understand and experience.
* Is proficient with methods and techniques for selection and managing Suppliers to ensure that third parties adhere to agreed requirements.
* Is proficient in methods of identifying and abstracting IT issues into problem statements and drives the resolution forward. Networks internally and externally with peers to bring insights and add value knowledge to the wider community.
