Housekeeper
We have recently taken over a country house and launched a wedding business, which will evolve to also be a corporate events business. There are constantly ongoing works and we are always seeking to improve our business model but also our revenue streams, which results in a vibrant estate with many prospects and no end of things to do!
- As we are setting up a new business we have an opening for a new position as a housekeeper. We will need to work together as team to ensure our needs (yours and ours) are met
- 45-hour week on average but flexibility required.
- full drivers license
- The business is currently seasonal April-October, with a considerably more relaxed schedule outside of the season
- The family is also based in London, which means that during term time most of the family is only up at weekends,
- Children: the family has four-year-old twin boys who will need some childcare at the weekends
- Housekeeping duties:
- Cleaning the house (for 2017/2018 between April and October we will have guests staying in 1-5 bedrooms on Fridays and/or Saturday mostly)
- Cooking for the family 2 days/week
- Shopping for food and running other errands (dry cleaning, post office, etc…)
- Children: the family has four-year-old twin boys who will need some childcare at the weekends
- Be able to meet and greet guests and show them to their bedrooms
- Take deliveries, as well as manage the deliveries (hence the need to be able to use email proficiently)
- Be prepared to have no set routine and have a “can do” attitude towards all things… “a willingness to be in the trenches”…! Above all, a person who is trustworthy, enthusiastic, energetic and friendly.
