Sales Assistant – Building / Construction Materials

Due to continued branch expansion, Parker Building Supplies, Sussex and Kent's leading independent Builders' Merchants have vacancy for a Sales Assistant at their Haywards Heath branch.

What will I be responsible for?

As our Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring that the customer experience is of the highest calibre. Working a 45-hour basic week, standard hours are 7.30am - 5.30pm with plenty of opportunities to work overtime at a higher rate, you will be responsible for manning the counter and processing transactions for our customers whilst maintaining high levels of customer service.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have a friendly, outgoing and assertive nature. Familiarity with the building or construction industry and knowledge of building materials will also be beneficial. You will also have:

• Proven experience within the industry with merchant counter sales experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good product knowledge.
