Our Client currently has an exciting opportunity for a Solicitor to join them. Based at Service Headquarters in Fulwood, Preston, this is a permanent full time position where you will work 36.25 hpw; Monday – Friday with flexitime working arrangements.

The role of Solicitor is to provide a legal service, delivering advice on a range of legal issues.

Carrying out the professional duties of a Solicitor, you will advise on employment issues, prosecutions and assist in preparation of prosecution files whilst assisting with preparation of response to legislation and regulations that may impact on the Service. Preparing reports where required, you will proactively contribute to the development of cross cutting Service-wide policies and initiatives.

The successful candidate will be a qualified solicitor with a demonstrable working knowledge and experience of the law/legal system, including employment legislation. With the ability to prepare and present written information including letters, case reports and tribunal orders, you will complete work to appropriate time frames and communicate to all levels of staff and clients.

Evidence of continuous professional development and a willingness to work flexibly with minimal supervision is required, along with a demonstrable achievement of preparation and presentation of cases in court and tribunals. You will also have a current driving licence, the ability to use Microsoft Word and Outlook and will be able to demonstrate a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
