Manufacturing Production Coordinator - Electronics
You will be working for a growing electronics manufacturing and product design company and they are looking for a Production Coordinator to manage the day to day manufacturing operations.
You will be a good all rounder as this is a small growing business. You need to be someone who is prepared to get involved, be organised and willing to be trained. The ability to use own initiative, think on your feet and solve problems is vital as you may occasionally be working on your own. Reporting directly to the Director you will need to hit the ground running. There are excellent long term prospects and the potential to move into management for the right candidate.
Must have own transport due to the location of the business. Excellent written English skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with customers and oversee the orders from start to finish.
- Schedule production runs, manage production staff and ensure appropriate staff available.
- Manage incoming stock and component stock levels and order new stock when necessary.
- Materials planning using computerized systems.
- Assembly of electronic and non electronic products.
- Book new orders onto MRP system and update system from receiving initial order through to delivery of finished goods.
- Resolve any customer problems & answer incoming calls if needed.
- Understand the production process and be willing to help out where necessary in the business.
- Arrange shipping and delivery of finished products via couriers.
- Occasionally may need to deliver products in company van.
- Writing technical procedures and instruction booklets.
- Managing ISO9001 quality certification.
Required Experience and Skills
- Background in manufacturing preferably electronics.
- Soldering and electrical/electronics assembly skills.
- Knowledge of electronic & electrical components.
- Customer relationship experience as you will be the main point of contact for our customers.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several projects at once.
- IT skills as you will be using MRP to log jobs and record daily activity.
- Strong written English skills as you will be writing technical procedures and instruction booklets for products.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- CAD experience - Solidworks preferred.
- Supervisory experience would be desirable.
- Clean driving licence.
Hours - 40 hrs week
Mon - Thurs 8am - 5pm
Fri 8am - 2:30pm
