Our client, based in Newbury, are looking to recruit a MultiSkilled Production Engineer to join their busy, wellestablished team. Reporting to the Chief Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining the operational performance of all site machinery and plant while ensuring a safe working environment, and meeting business KPIs by maximising product efficiency and quality.ResponsibilitiesEffective maintenance of plant and machinery including the installation and commissioning of new equipment.Set up, fault finding and repairs to all production machinery, support services and auxiliary plant.Operation and set up of PPM routines.Maintenance of engineering workshop, equipment and services including routine housekeeping and administrative duties.Perform regular rounds of the site and equipment, identifying and reporting defects and issues that affect the structure or reliability of the facility.Training and coaching production staff to operate, problem solve and carry out routine maintenance.Maintain engineering database, records and documentation in order, ensuring that information is recorded correctly and that manuals drawings and logs are administered correctly.Promote continuous improvement and take a vigilant approach to identifying and solving problems following a logical thought process.RequirementsONC Mechanical or Electrical engineering or recognised apprenticeshipPerformed defect and planned maintenanceExpertise in at least one of the following, planned maintenance or weldingFamiliar with labellers/labelling process, steam boilers, air compressorsBasic Electrical Faults (Mechanical)Electrical Installation (Electrical)PLC programming/fault finding/diagnostics (Electrical)Detailed knowledge of planned maintenance routinesFault finding methodologiesGeneral engineering methodologiesThis is a fulltime position, working on a 24hour shift pattern, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday and one Saturday in 6Our client offers an excellent remuneration, bonus and benefits package in addition to excellent career progression and development opportunities.Please apply on line to be considered Advertised through Zoek.
