Our client is an extremely reputable Aerospace business specialising in a number of turbine activities, they are now looking for a Quality Systems Engineer to join their performing team.
Summary
Reporting to the Head of Quality, the Quality Engineer will be responsible ensuring product and Quality Management System compliance, whilst maintaining compliance to both regulatory authority and customer requirements and its programs.
Aerospace Quality Systems Engineer
Primary Accountabilities
* Manage the Quality Management system and procedures in line with AS9100 Rev D
* Ensure compliance with NADCAP requirements
* Perform, document internal audits and other quality assurance activities. Evaluate audit findings, recommend and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
* Input and maintain audit results, identifying and reporting on identified trends.
* Collect, compile, analyse, report company KPI's and statistical quality data to identify areas for improvement.
* Implement new or updated processes, systems, and procedures in the field of quality assurance. Communicate change and train the staff on the updates. Monitor correct execution of quality assurance policies by concerned staff.
* Drive process improvements within all areas to embed world class manufacturing quality principles.
* Proactively champion changes, including running shop floor improvement activities to currently working practice to improve product quality and productivity.
* Coach, support and complete investigations with the wider teams into product defects and managing the RCCA / 8D process.
* Promote Company Initiatives across the business from a Quality perspective.
* Manage non-conforming product, via the Quarantine and scrap processes.
* Coordinate and investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues, working in close collaboration with other departments.
* Identify training needs, develop training materials and deliver trainings as needed. Evaluate and improve training efficiency.
* Manage and update personnel certification system. Ensure timely and correct certification of employees as required by regulations and standards.
* Keep the Approved Vendor list up-to-date; perform external supplier audits as required.

Minimum Requirements:
Education
* Technical bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.

* Demonstrated quality, auditing and testing experience in aerospace and/or high-precision metal machining industry required.
* Audit trained either internal or lead qualified.
* General knowledge of aviation regulations (FAA, EASA, Nadcap, etc.), quality management systems (AS9100, ISO9001, etc.) required.
* General knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement / Problem-Solving techniques and tools.
* Proficiency with MS Office, databases.
* Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of quality assurance.
* Proven operational quality back ground.
