A globally recognised brand with a multi-disciplinary approach with acknowledged strengths insurance brokerage, risk management and reinsurance. Due to growth and change within the business a requirement for further compliance monitoring expertise has become reality.

As a Senior Compliance Monitoring Manager you will be responsible for all components of each review you are tasked with by the Head of Compliance Monitoring. This will include defining scope and approach and managing the members of the review team to ensure delivery within the agreed timeframes. The role is predominantly a desk based role but there will be ample opportunity to engage across the entire scope of the business through occasional site visits when executing each review as required.

Further key points of the role will include:

- Management of resource budgets
- Define roles and responsibilities of stakeholders relevant to each review
- Agree and track any remedial actions emerging from each review delivery.
- Continuously improve the effectiveness of the Compliance Monitoring review process

- Prepare monitoring reports to agreed standards
- Conduct quality reviews to ensure robust evidence based approach to review outcomes.
- Ensure that critical findings are reported immediately as appropriate
- Engage with and achieve buy-in and agreement from the accountable executive to the report findings and agreed remedial actions
- Provide context to findings and recommendations in relation to wider related risk, control and governance issues.
- Present finding in the appropriate manner to senior leaders
- Negotiate with senior management to ensure that monitoring recommendations are agreed and acted upon
- Effective formal reporting to management on progress versus plan.

You will be an established compliance professional with a particular focus on monitoring with an ability to demonstrate the practical application of your acquired expertise. You should be able to manage a programme of varying reviews including business specific reviews as well as wider thematic reviews across multiple business lines within a multidisciplinary insurance and risk business. Those with experience pertinent to the Lloyds market , speciality risk, the SME sector or with an actual Insurance provider with specific monitoring / internal audit skills will be of great interest. You must have a track record of managing monitoring focussed projects and possess excellent communication skills with sound stakeholder management.
