Quantity Surveyor
Salary : Dependant upon experience plus Car , Pension
Location : Horsham, Sussex
Currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to cover a 5-year framework operating over three districts namely; Hampshire including the Isle of Wright, Sussex and Kent covering; react and maintain, rehabilitation and new network development of Southern Water's sewerage network
ROLE
- Providing the commercial support for a district.
- Maximising value whilst producing accurate applications to the client,
- Estimating Rehabilitation works
- Subcontract Management,
- Analyse and monitor cost,
- Accurately reporting on a weekly / monthly basis
- Monitor and maintain change management per the contractual timescales,
- Liaise with and provide advice to the operational staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Value
- Using an NEC3 TSC option B (Schedule of rates) Value works completed /estimating new works
- First response blockage clearance,
- Reactive Civils,
- Rehabilitation and Network Development works.
- Including change Management.
Subcontract Management
- Using an NEC3 TSC option B (Schedule of rates)
- Placing Subcontract orders
- Checking and validating Subcontract Applications
- Collating and processing payment to subcontractors
Cost management
- Collate and maintain accurate subcontract Liabilities
- Assess and highlight anomalies on weekly cost reports
Whilst a formal qualification is desirable it is not imperative. Demonstrable commercial competence and experience of working in a similar long-term utility framework contract would satisfy.
