An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Group Product Manager to join Corin based in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

Corin is a global leader in orthopaedic innovation, specialising in the design, development and manufacture of a wide range of cutting edge artificial implant solutions for hip, knee and ankle replacement.

As a Group Product Manager your duties and responsibilities will be:

Product Support

Management of all aspects of marketing support for the products within the product manager’s portfolio on a global basis:

Develop brand strategy and business plans in conjunction with the Head of Hip Marketing:-

  • Drive portfolio reviews and product life cycles
  • Define portfolio opportunities (new and life-cycle enhancements)
  • Develop key opinion leaders and support global sales teams
  • Support group forecasting requirements for all products within the remit for the role

Product launch initiatives:-

  • Develop launch plans for each market working with key country leads
  • Provide comprehensive training packages for each market, sales teams and their customers
  • Manage production of all sales support material
  • Creativity is a key aspect of the role, both in branding and in the evolution of novel marketing initiatives

Support existing products

  • Providing targeted support for key markets on a structured basis
  • Developing key growth strategies for target markets to deliver on group financial objectives
  • Attend and support key international meetings / exhibitions
  • Host overseas surgeon visits to key Centres of Excellence around the globe
  • Host subsidiary and distributor visitors where required
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive modular training packages for the Corin Academy
  • Initiate and develop surgeon meeting programmes
  • Launch and drive product user / steering group meetings
  • Develop case studies and social media strategies for websites / publications and PR
  • Support all website content and marketing collaterals to support their global brands

New Product Introduction / Development

  • Gathering market intelligence and analysing data for project viability
  • Involvement in the Stage gate process for product resource justification
  • Following all SOP’s for instrument and implant development
  • Defining a business case for each NPI for each market
  • Agreeing project frameworks with the Product Development department
  • Managing the development and evaluation process
  • Project managing key development projects including liaising with technical, regulatory, manufacturing and sales departments
  • Working with key opinion leaders throughout the development process
  • Organising development / user / steering group meetings with key opinion leaders

The Product Manager Associates are also specifically responsible for the following product support functions:-

  • Being the first point of contact for product-related enquiries
  • Compiling market data in support of portfolio products, including market positions, shares, target growth, for senior management
  • Reviewing journals and other publications
  • Generating product and marketing bulletins as required and ensure circulation
  • Collecting and disseminating competitor information
  • Managing the production of all marketing materials (including sales brochures, operative technique brochures, technical information booklets, white papers, sales presentations, technical powerpoint presentations, competitor product information, features & benefits charts, sample sets, demo instrument kits, appropriate exhibition samples and models
  • Production of structured, modular sales training programmes with complete training manuals

An ideal Group Product Manager will have the following skills and experiences:

  • Demonstrative orthopaedic / medical device industry experience
  • Preferable – Engineering, Sales or Product management experience.
  • Results oriented and self-motivated
  • High level of business acumen and ability to liaise with high level global surgeon opinion leaders.
  • The ability to manage multiple complex projects, and on time delivery
  • A background in or experience of NPD / NPI would be extremely useful
  • Good presentation and IT skills
  • Excellent team and work ethic
  • Strong leadership abilities
