Junior Mechanical Engineer

Interaction Recruitment are seeking a Junior / Graduate Mechanical Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading East Midlands based Mechanical & Electrical Contractor.

Our client cover all aspects of electrical & mechanical building services including new installs, stripout’s/refurbs and maintenance across a variety of industry sectors including Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Leisure, Retail & Accommodation.

The role will ideally suit a 3^rd year student/recent graduate looking to quickly establish themselves within a role.

Excellent apprenticeships & staff training programmes are on offer assisting individuals to gather the skills and knowledge required to progress their careers within the company.

Duties will include:

• Working alongside experienced Engineers carrying out feasibility studies for new projects
• Drawing up plans using computer-assisted engineering and design software
• Estimating material, construction, and labour costs, and project timescales
• Assisting with the coordination of technicians and craftspeople
• Testing installations and systems along with analysing data
• Ensuring projects meet mechanical and construction safety regulations
• Assisting with inspection and maintenance programmes
• Attending meetings, writing reports and giving presentations to managers and clients
