The Role
We are looking for an experienced Microbiology Laboratory Manager to be responsible for the day to day management of the laboratory operations. This will include implementation and compliance of documented procedures for the quality system. You will need to be a strong leader with the ability to manage, mentor and supervise closely the team.
It is essential that you have extensive knowledge of analytical techniques for microbiological analysis as well as experience of quality assurance and staff development working to ISO17025 within a Food or Water testing environment.
Responsibilities
??To oversee provision of Stock
??To ensure accurate records for all test data
??Checking and approving results prior to release
??Maintain and implement documentation for the quality system
??Management of staff including absence, holidays, sickness and training
Skills and Experience
??Educated to degree level or HND
??Direct experience within analytical techniques for microbiological analysis
??Excellent communication skills
??Experience within a supervisory capacity including training techniques
??Excellent working knowledge to ISO17025
