Installer / Fitter - Windows and Curtain Walling, Commercial Construction Industry. c.GBP12.00 per hour, dependant on experience, (c.GBP25,000 per annum) + bonus + benefits including pension, life assurance, 22 days' holiday + 8 days' bank holiday, free parking etc. No week-end working required.
I am recruiting an Installer / Window Fitter to work on window and curtain walling installation projects for Windowglass (Bristol, BS4), a well-established and expanding business that designs, manufactures and installs architectural window systems for the commercial construction industry.
Experience of Windows or Curtain walling would be highly preferable although experience of working on commercial projects in any cladding, carpentry, roofing or fa??ade trade would be transferable and training would be provided.
Reporting to the Installation Supervisor, the Installer / Window Fitter will be responsible for installing products on-site and liaising with the client's representatives to facilitate handover and sign-off of completed installations. You will also be responsible for undertaking maintenance and remedial works as necessary, ensuring all fixing reports are completed and signed off. You will also provide support and assistance to the logistics department to ensure products are delivered to site in a timely manner.
Installer / Window Fitter Responsibilities
• Installation of all products (windows and curtain walling).
• Maintenance and repair works on site.
• Support and advice to subcontract installers and assistance on site where required.
• Loading of vehicles and the delivery of products to site for others to install.
• Work within the glass shop and logistics department to plan installations and sequence deliveries to site.
• Where required work with surveyors to undertake site survey works.
• Attend site to meet clients' site supervisors to agree installation method and plan sequence of work and communicate plans to others within Windowglass.
• Be pro-active in identifying what is required to get the products and services delivered, installed and signed-off and acting accordingly.
• Be available for some out of hours working should the installation or project require it.

Installer / Window Fitter experience required:
• Experience of working in the commercial construction industry
• Experience of windows, curtain walling, cladding, carpentry, roofing or a fa??ade trade - Windowglass product training will be provided.
• CPC (fork-lift) and IPAS (cherry-picker) license would be an advantage but full training will be provided
• A good team player with a 'can do' attitude, a strong work ethic and good communication skills
• A good level of physical fitness
• A full driving license with willingness to travel (most jobs are within a 100-mile radius of Bristol)
