Qualified Accountant to manage small accounts team in West Midlands accountancy firm

The Role

As a qualified accountant, you will be responsible for managing a small team and reviewing work of junior staff. With the opportunity to advance your career by joining the company's accelerated partner scheme, you will control a team and have a portfolio of clients. Your responsibilities will include:

• finalisation of accounts / reviewing files before client meetings
• being first point of contact for clients
• coordinating the monthly planning for the office
• assisting partner with business planning / cash flow / forecasting
• attending face to face client meetings as required
• attending networking events

The Company

Our client is a firm of Chartered Accountants and leading independent provider of business services in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, providing a personalised service to local business owners and individuals including accounts, tax advice, self-assessment and Inland Revenue investigations. They are not your typical stuffy or old fashioned firm but forward thinking and currently focusing on growth.

The Person

As a qualified accountant (ACA / FCA / ACCA / FCCA ), you will have previous experience in a similar management role working in a professional accountancy practice, ideally with some audit, client-facing and client relationship building skills. You will be fully computer literate (IRIS software / management tools, Xero, Excel etc.), a strong communicator and up to date knowledge of HMRC / tax legislation. You must be a team player and want to succeed and progress rapidly. If you're ambitious this is the perfect role for you.

Experience gained in commercial or industrial businesses is not suitable for this role
