Are you a passionate healthcare professional seeking an alternative working environment to apply your medical skills and knowledge base?
I am supporting my client a UK leading Health Insurance provider, based in Taunton to recruit a number of Clinical Support Specialists, to facilitate customer health claims and ensure appropriate support and advice is provided to the individual and their family throughout the process.
As a Clinical Support Specialists you will deal with escalated medical queries and manage complex/challenging medical issues/cases as and when they arise.
The post holder will be empowered to carefully analyse medical cases to ensure that the right clinical decision is made for our customers. Liasing directly with patients and specialists is key. Working and contributing successfully to a highly professional medically qualified team, ensuring that appropriate advice is provided to all areas of the business.
The ideal candidate will have;
*A relevant degree level qualification in Nursing / Life Sciences / Pharmaceuticals or be NMC / HCPC registered as a Nurse, Physio, OT or Paramedic.
*Knowledge in at least one of the following physiological systems and associated pathologies: oncology, cardiology, orthopaedics, ophthalmology and psychology.
*Able to liaise with customers/intermediaries and represent the company professionally at all times.
*Be computer literate, capable of using basic office packages such as Word, Internet, and Email.
