JOB TITLE: Hydraulic & Pneumatic Mechanical Tester
JOB LOCATION: Derby
HOURLY RATE:GBP10 - GBP16 per hour
HOURS PER WEEK:Average 37 hours per week
SHIFTS:Mornings & Afternoons 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm
SHIFT DAYS:Monday to Friday (Flexibility to work weekends)
HOLIDAY ENTITLEMENT:33 Days per years
DURATION:Long term - potentially tempt to perm
START DATE: ASAP
Position Summary:
The role is carrying out Routine Mechanical Testing of Rolling Stock. You will specifically with a focus on mechanical maintenance and component changes.
This position is the key focal point for the safe and reliable running of the fleet.
This position is a fantastic opportunity for someone to develop their skills within the Rail industry. This position will be long term and potentially could turn into something permanent with scope to progress.
It's position is based on a busy maintenance depot and all applicants would be expected to complete the following:
*Work from written instruction (VMI)
*Work from Mechanical Engineering drawings, working to specific measurements
*Replacing mechanical components to correspond to engineering drawings
*Routine fleet checks ensuring that the Fleet are operated safely
*Oil changes
*Fuel Changes
Candidates from the following background will be considered:
*RAF, REME, Army, Navy
*Plant Maintenance
*Engineering Services Maintenance
*Rail
*Heavy Mechanical Engineering
*Automotive
Ideal applicants would have had some heavy maintenance experience and previously worked shifts. Ideally would also have a NVQ level 2 in Engineering.
