Youth Action Wiltshire Youth Support Worker – Supporting Holt Youth Club

£8.50 unqualified  & £9.50 qualified at Level 2 in Youth Work or equivalent

The post will be for 3 hours per week 52 weeks of the year.

We are looking for a well organised and motivated individual who is dedicated to the personal development of young people through the provision of positive activities.

We are looking for a self-starter who can work on their own initiative and has experience of organising and managing a range of youth activities in a youth club setting. You should have experience of offering structured sessions and be able to effectively manage groups of young people.  As part of the programme we want our team to be able to provide information, advice, support and access to other services and agencies when appropriate to young people, families and referral agencies.  The role will work closely with a network of volunteers to help plan and facilitate sessions at Holt Youth Club and have close contact with the youth club management committee.

Ideally you will have a relevant youth work qualification and/or two years of experience in youth work and the delivery of positive activities.

There will be regular evening and occasional weekend working, an ability to travel independently around the county is essential for this post.
