They are now looking to recruit a Tenancy Enforcement Officer to join the Neighbourhoods Service on a permanent basis to provide an efficient housing management service to customers and partner organisations.
Working in the neighbourhoods where existing customers live to make them sustainable places in which people can and want to stay, you will deal with Anti – Social Behaviour, Breach of Tenancy issues until the point at which the Tenancy Enforcement & Support Services Team Leader takes over; ensuring that you provide information related to ASB in a variety of formats which will be available to all customers as required.
Developing and supporting resident involvement and responding to requests for support and specialist advice from the Neighbourhood Team, you will proactively liaise with the police and other agencies to tackle ASB issues collectively and ensure that you collate and prepare performance related information in the area of ASB.
Working with the Tenancy Enforcement & Support Services Team Leader to continually improve the service they offer to both victims and perpetrators, you will publicise positive news concerning enforcement action appropriately both internally amongst colleagues and to customers whilst contributing to the development of neighbourhood plans and initiatives which improves satisfaction amongst customers.
With detailed knowledge of the civil court process, you will demonstrate significant experience of handling conflict amongst customers and of managing a varying case load of ASB cases. Experience of the various ‘tools’ available for housing providers to tackle ASB is essential and you should have a background of customer involvement, working with partner organisations and of community development issues. With a good detailed knowledge of housing and tenancy law and experience of using information technology for a range of different purposes, you will have an understanding of performance indicators in the areas of ASB and be capable of representing the organisation in court. Have experience of providing a Housing Management Service to a portfolio of properties defined as general needs.
