This leading European supplier of technical textile threads to the Automotive Supply Chain, is now looking for a QC Laboratory Technician.
As a QC Laboratory Technician, you will be reporting into the Senior QC Laboratory Technician. The key function of the role is to maintain quality standards by testing and analysing all incoming raw materials, in-process product, development trials and finished goods to ensure compliance to customer and internal specifications.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
-Testing of incoming raw materials, in-process product and finished product to ensure compliance to specification
-Receives, prepares and conducts inspection & physical analysis of incoming materials, in-process production, development trials and finished product test samples according to established local, national and international Policies, Procedures, Work Instructions and test methods
-Reads, understands and interprets internal, external and customer specifications, as well as Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions (WI's)
-Documents, reports and stores inspection findings, reports and test analysis results on various media (logs, databases, etc…)
-Inputs and supports in the data collection, analysis and trending of functional/departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
-Ensures records of inspection and test analysis is retained and readily retrievable in accordance with company, local, national, international and customer requirements
-Ensures product identification and traceability is maintained throughout the test lab (and company) process
-Ensures all laboratory WI's and test methods are accurate and up-to-date, and in accordance with internal format and change control
The successful candidate will have:
- Min. 3 years of experience of working in a Quality Control Laboratory environment
- Ability to read and interpret test results and compare to customer and internal specifications
- To demonstrate flexibility, sound work ethics and integrity
- Diligent timekeeping & excellent time management - able to prioritise and mange work loads
- Self-starter and has the ability to work on their own, but also able to integrate into a team
- Highly focused and able to repeat tasks accurately and diligently
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office and other software
- Strong communication skills to communicate effectively and confidently concepts, ideas and knowledge at all levels
- Possess excellent problem solving skills, decision-making, and root-cause analysis skills in addition to interpersonal skills that foster conflict resolution as it relates to technical situations
- Experience within a manufacturing and/or operations environment as part of the quality department/team
- Fosters knowledge and information sharing through effective written and verbal communication
Hours: 39 hours per week - Mon - Thurs 2pm - 10pm and Fri 11 am - 6pm
