£8.75 per hour

We are looking for a part-time Cook to be responsible for planning, shopping, preparing, serving and washing up for the lunchtime meal served at the club for up to 25 people.

We are Cornwater Evergreens Foundation Trust, based in Ravenshead, we provide friendship and stimulation for older people, helping to combat social isolation.

The Memory Club caters especially for the more frail older people and those showing early signs of dementia whereas the Cornwater Evergreens Club caters for more able older people many of whom are socially isolated; average age is 85.

Your working hours will be 8.40 am - 13.40 pm on Monday, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, plus an additional 4 hours a week to plan, purchase ingredients, wash tea towels & tabards.

We are looking for someone with previous experience of:

• Catering for groups of up to 25 people with different dietary requirements
• Preparing menu plans and working to agreed budgets

The successful applicant will be able to:

• Plan and cook a varied weekly menu which meets the needs of the Members
• Prepare and cook the snacks and 2 course lunch required
• Supervise volunteers in the kitchen
• Maintain excellent standards of food and kitchen hygiene
• Shop for the food required for the menu
• Work as a team with other members of staff and volunteers
