The Performance Reporting Manager - Insight role is based within Retail Banking & Wealth Management.

The role of the Performance Reporting Manager - InSight is to support the Senior Multi Channel Performance Reporting Manager (Insight Cognos), with:

- leading the design, development, delivery, accuracy, continuous improvement and communication of performance reporting for units and individuals across RBWM's distribution channels (including Branch Network, HSBC Direct, first direct, Wealth Management and Business Banking)

- Working in collaboration with Performance Framework colleagues to support incentive framework developments and translate into frontline reporting delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:
Manage the design and delivery of business unit and individual activity reporting across channel(s) of responsibility (including Branch Network, HSBC Direct, first direct and Wealth Management). Collaborate with Performance Framework colleagues to identify priority changes in framework & translate into effective changes to the reporting methodology / KPIs. Work closely with Business Intelligence (BI) to deliver frontline performance reporting which accurately reflects the performance of the different business areas across all levels. Own User Acceptance Testing & ensure any issues arising are investigated promptly, effectively and communicated to users. Act as MI gatekeeper and data SME for channel(s) of responsibility, ensuring reporting is fit for purpose & able to answer queries from Distribution & Head Office colleagues. Ensure the reporting / KPI approach is reviewed on a regular basis and improved in response to user feedback/queries received. Ensure regular working group sessions with Distribution representatives are held to gain appropriate user feedback from business areas. Communicate the content of performance reporting and all performance measures in a clear, concise and easily understood format, ensuring this information remains up to date and is improved regularly in response to user feedback. Ensure that the Performance MI Helpdesk colleagues are kept adequately informed to enable them to answer all queries in relation to performance reporting.


Qualifications


The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of All HSBC Products and services Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. UK RBWM environment Experience working in relevant market/context, i.e. Knowledge of Wealth, Network, HSBC Direct, Premier and Business Banking procedures and processes Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. MI / Analytical role Past working experience on relevant systems, i.e. Insight (Cognos based) or equivalent system Availability to undertake the travel required for this role, i.e. May be required to travel for training and team meetings A desire to find ways to continually improve the service delivered to customers A track record of delivering significant change which improves business effectiveness in sustainable ways Set and achieved challenging short, medium and long term goals which exceeded the standards in their field Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences Built effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same Experience of creating and deploying comprehensive business/operating plans which consistently deliver desired results A successful track record of delivering complex projects and/or programmes, utilising appropriate techniques and tools to ensure and measure success A comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring own/others' compliance with relevant regulatory processes

The base location for this role is Birmingham

We are required by the Financial Services (Banking Reform) Act 2013 to create a ring-fenced bank in the UK by 1 January 2019. Entirely new from the ground up, HSBC UK's head office is opening in Birmingham. The location of this role will move to our new state of the art offices at 2 Arena Central during 2018.
