Purpose of role: To manage the consolidation accounting process for The Body Shop and control and reconciliation of the balance sheet. Key Job Accountabilities: ?? To produce and report the consolidated balance sheet for The Body Shop on a monthly basis ensuring a high quality of reconciliation and understanding of the movements and consolidation methodology. ?? To obtain monthly reporting packages as required from non-SAP entities such as Brazil and Chile in order to report in SAP and include in the monthly consolidation. ?? To obtain financial information required on an annual basis for consolidated reporting. ?? To work on implementing a new consolidation system ensuring historic data is migrated to the new system and it is fit for purpose. ?? To prepare a balance sheet reconciliation process in order to review and control the balance sheet by GL and report on reconciled balances and potential misstatements. ?? To consider a balance sheet reconciliation system such as Blackline to automate and produce balance sheet reconciliations and reporting on a monthly basis. ?? To assist with financial reporting duties in general. ?? Liaise with internal and external customers on query resolution, as required ?? Work with key stakeholders to secure excellent communication and a professional standard of service ?? Responsible for maintaining the ethical standards of The Body Shop including minimising the environmental, health and safety risks in the workplace and responsible for reporting potential risks, real accidents and near misses to relevant managers ?? Champions, supports and participates in The Body Shop's Values and Campaigns ?? To perform other related duties as assigned or requested by the Int'l Accounting and Reporting Manager Experience: ?? Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience of IFRS ?? Proven experience of working on parallel projects and tasks ?? Excellent analytical and problem solving skills ?? Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office 2007. Advanced level excel essential ?? Knowledge of SAP or similar systems ?? Excellent organisational skills ?? Ability to resolve problems with a resilient disposition and escalate, as required ?? Sound communication skills Qualifications: ?? Educated to degree level or equivalent ??
