Summary of the Role:
As Group Treasury Assistant, you will support a dynamic Treasury team with all treasury tasks, working with a range of stakeholders to drive positive change.
What Will I Be Responsible For?
Assisting with the daily cash management, analyse the weekly cash forecast to assess the short-term cash flow impact on the Group. Subscribing and redeeming deposit funds and providing loan utilisation requests on a timely basis. Ensuring that bond charges are reconciled, charged out and reported to the Divisions. Supporting with the monthly reports on Group bonds and ensure that Divisions and legal advisors promptly cancel or reduce existing bonds. Supporting with the reporting of the Group's Legal Charges record entered into as part of the land acquisition process. Supporting with the reporting of the Group's NHBC performance bonds and assist the technical teams to facilitate the cancellation and reduction of historic bonds to maximise available headroom and reduce overall costs. Supporting with the maintenance of electronic banking systems, bank mandates and land approval records. Providing project and ad hoc support to a small treasury team.
Personal Characteristics:
A finance or treasury degree. Enthusiastic and confident individual Strong inter-personal and organisation skills helping to deliver accurately and within tight deadlines. An assertive candidate with an ability to use own initiative. Approachable and able to work with other teams in the Group function, adding value to a range of treasury tasks. Proven experience in a Financial support role Previous treasury experience would be an advantage but not essential. Strong Excel skills
