Site Training Manager, Manchester, Food Manufacturing

The Role:

The purpose of this role is to ensure that the Company has fully effective and compliant training delivery, covering factory employees and delivered with a clear focus on quality of training.

Responsibilities Include:

  • To deliver site training to all areas of the company, in order to maintain compliance main focus in terms of factory in relation to Food Safety and Health & Safety.
  • Responsible for the creation of new SOP's as necessary and updating existing SOP's (where appropriate) to ensure a consistent, accurate and compliant approach across all areas of the Site.
  • To support Line Managers in ensuring that their team training is reviewed regularly against the SOP's with periodic retraining as necessary to the highest standards
  • Attendance at Senior Management meetings to discuss training issues and ways to resolve them
  • Supporting the on-site induction programme as required.
  • Management of the budget to ensure, deliver cost effective training.
  • Working with external training providers to obtain funding where possible.
  • To track training progress, monitor contact time and constantly strive to improve the effectiveness of training delivered.
  • Any other reasonable tasks that are allocated by the HR Manager.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A formal training qualification
  • Experience in leading and working effectively in teams
  • Experience of working in the food manufacturing industry
  • Capable of communicating with all levels of management
