My client is looking for a Contract Manager to be based at their workshop in Nottingham. The main purpose of the role is to manage the Workshop, Parts, Logistics and Customer Service functions, maintaining a high service delivery as per contractual obligations. You will also be responsible for client relationship management, supplier and parts management as well as workshop and logistics management.

Main responsibilities

• Ensuring the overall contractual KPI's of the contract are achieved and that standards are maintained whilst creating a culture which encourages business success.

• To develop and improve service delivery approach in line with best practice methodologies and continuous improvement.

• To proactively advise and communicate with the client on areas of contract including opportunities for cost reduction and improved fleet availability.

• To forecast, monitor, evaluate and report on performance and management of the contract, providing regular updates to the Operations Director.

• To attend contract review meetings as and when required and any other formal meetings as may occur.

• In conjunction with the Account Manager be responsible for building and maintaining the client relationship and efficient management of the contract.

• Ensure appropriate and effective health and safety policy, procedures and processes are in place to minimise risk

• Maintaining a robust workload schedule covering both scheduled and unscheduled vehicle maintenance work.

• To constantly strive to implement improved solutions to the business recognising market trends, supplier innovations and IT systems enhancements in order to maximise the benefits from the supply chain.

• To liaise and assist with supplier management reviews and tender negotiations, where applicable.

• To develop, implement and manage an ongoing supplier audit programme which ensures our supply chain is regularly reviewed

• To produce management reporting as required by the Operations Director and members of the Management Board.

• Prepare financial estimates and monitor expenditure ensuring budgets are adhered to and the business unit remains within viable profitability, ensuring effective use of labour and equipment.

The ideal candidate will be a proven and highly experienced manager from a similar commercial environment with an excellent grounding in the vehicle, engineering and/or manufacturing industries. You will need to have a background in contract and client management within a relevant industry. You will also possess vast experience of people management and be capable of making effective business decisions. You must also be able to interpret, extract, manipulate and analyse complex data accurately
