The Role: 

As a Business Analyst, you will perform a wide range of analysis to help enhance our client’s operations. 

You’ll identify skill deficiencies and training needs throughout the business and educate colleagues in the importance of key finance controls, as well as financial and operational compliance. 

Additionally, you will: 

- Help to develop systems and business processes to proactively support business performance 
- Support Project Managers in understanding project performance 
- Prepare analysis relating to WIP, debt and cash positions on contracts 
- Assist with the preparation of forecasts and annual business plans 
- Monitor and analyse revenue and contract control 
- Help to prepare business segment management accounts, including developing reporting packs and analysis 
- Occasionally visit our client’s other sites throughout the UK 

About You: 

To become a Business Analyst, you will: 

- Be a qualified or part qualified accountant 
- Have financial experience gained within a commercial environment which involved contract accounting and/or job costing, ideally in electronic security or access systems 
- Possess knowledge of systems and/or process development 
- Have strong IT skills, including MS Office, particularly Excel 
- Possess proven experience of working in a team and being methodical and organised 
- Have the ability to interrogate databases, using MS Query and/or SQL
