Our client is a national rail / civil engineering organisation, offering an exceptional reputation within South Wales/South West. Due to their ever increasing portfolio of secured work, they are now looking for a freelance rail senior quantity surveyor that has extensive Network Rail experience. To be successful in the position of senior quantity surveyor, it is required that you have skills and experience in the following areas:
Excellent NEC exposure
You have previously worked on many rail based projects, offerng a proven track record
A degree in Quantity Surveying
Excellent negotiation skills, used to dealing with variations and additional works
Used to dealing with purchase orders
Strong Numerical and IT skills.
Professional approach with excellent communication skills.
Be able to procure sub-contractors/orders/payments and final accounts
Able to produce cost reports/forecasting
Take off quantities/create BOQ's/cost variations
