Design Engineer job vacancy. CAD design / mechanical design job focussed on mechanical components within a highly renowned, growing engineering manufacturer. Position would suit a Mechanical Engineer with a CAD design / mechanical design engineering background who is keen to lead design projects, working alongside the R&D team to develop and innovate existing products. Ideally you will have experience using Solidworks and have a good understanding of 3D design. Working within a small team there is the potential scope to develop into a more senior/management role. Passion and enthusiasm for driving design projects forward, from concept through to production, is key for this role. In turn high performers are recognised and often rewarded for their achievements.
Salary Guideline: GBP33,000 to GBP37,000

The job will involve:
- Producing 3D and 2D CAD designs / mechanical designs using Solidworks.
- Working within a small team you will have a good opportunity to take ownership of design projects.
- Leading development projects, liaising with the R&D team, and taking projects from start to finish.
- You will be customer focused with the capability of working to high engineering standards within budgets and timescales set by customers.
This job will suit:
- Previous experience working within a mechanical design engineer or CAD design engineer position.
- Predominantly used Solidworks CAD package would be an advantage, however specific experience with this package alone isn't essential.
- Any exposure to working on mechanical components or similar projects would be beneficial but not absolutely essential - we are looking for a good mechanical engineer background who is passionate about design and innovation.
- You are likely to hold a relevant qualification (HNC / HND / Degree) in a mechanical engineering or similar discipline.
