This leading Nationwide provider of Case Management and Rehabilitation Services require a *Female Enabler/Support Worker to support their client, a friendly 12 year old girl who has cerebral palsy. Our client is sociable, with a good sense of humour and she attends a local mainstream school. She enjoys a range of leisure activities with friends at home and in the community.

The Enabler/Support Worker will support our client with communication, personal care and enable her to participate in outings, sports and leisure activities with her friends. You will work as part of a team and there will usually be 2 to 1 support for our client.

Enabler/Support Worker Attributes
- A proactive, encouraging "can-do" attitude and the ability to enable others to participate in community activities.
- Experience or an aptitude to work with young people who have a physical disability.
- *Female - intimate care and hygiene tasks involved.
- *Physically fit - Even with specialist equipment in place and appropriate training, it is important that you are physically fit. A Handling Management Plan designed to reduce the risk of handling injuries may require you to bend, kneel, squat or lunge to ensure good posture during handling tasks.
- Confident car driver with a full clean driving license and able to drive the client's adapted vehicle.
- Able to demonstrate a good understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality and to respect our client and their family's need for privacy.
- Non-smoker.
- Responsible attitude.
- Reliable, trustworthy and a good communicator.
- The ability to learn new skills.
- Confident with using IT; basic computer skills are required.
- Cheerful with a positive outlook and sense of humour.
- Proactive approach to developing an appropriate range of activities.
- Comfortable with engaging in swimming and active leisure pursuits.
- Confident about working in client's own home and sensitive to the needs and wishes of the parents.
- Ability to work as part of a team.

Hours
Two days each week (8 hour shifts) during school holidays. These 2 days are to be worked flexibly during the week. Opportunity to work other shifts, including weekends from time to time.

Remuneration
£10.51 per hour, Monday - Friday, 8am to 9pm.
£11.53 per hour, Weekends and Bank Holidays, 8am to 9pm.

Appropriate training, regular supervision and support provided. Free DBS check.
