The NEXT retail chain was launched in February 1982 and the first store opened with an exclusive coordinated collection of stylish clothes, shoes and accessories for women. Collections for men, children and the home quickly followed. NEXT clothes are styled by its in-house design team to offer great style, quality and value for money with a contemporary fashion edge.

Due to our continued success and growth plans we are now looking to recruit an Area Manager to manage our 14 stores based in Mid Scotland. Store Areas include: Carlisle, Dundee, Falkirk, Stirling, Barrow, Kendal, Perth and Workington

Area Manager Role:

Effectively manage 14 stores within the Mid-Scotland Area to maximise sales and profit whilst driving the business forward with innovative ideas and implementing those successfully

Area Manager Responsibilities:

• Lead, motivate and encourage a team of 14 Store Managers within a fast paced, challenging environment
• Manage KPI's, ensuring your Store Manager's deliver against sales targets, costs, performance and customer experience
• Ensure your Store Manager's build a good succession strategy, through the training and development of a strong team who have a drive to succeed
• Influence new business proposals, systems and processes by inspiring your teams to promote excellent ideas and results every time
• Command a culture for first-class standards and a passion for delivering a brilliant customer experience across all stores at all times
• Identify new opportunities to expand the business by building a portfolio of new space and growth opportunities

• Experience of delivering outstanding commercial and operational results in a multi-site management role

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and problem solve
