JOB TITLE: Optical Assistant
SALARY & BENEFITS: Dependent on level of experience
WORKING HOURS: Full Time
THE COMPANY: Our client are a family based opticians, established in 1887 providing professional eyecare for over 100 years. Registered with the General Optical Council, Harley street. With 8 sites across Peterborough and Leicester they are currently looking for an Optical Assistant to join their team in Peterborough.
THE ROLE: As an Optical Assistant you will be welcomed into a small committed, friendly and professional team based in Peterborough City Centre. Working in a modern, well equipped air condition practice your role will vary from meeting and greeting customers to quality checking completed orders.
You will be working for a highly respected independent optician where you will offer a personable experience to each patient.
The working hours are 9.00am - 5.30 Monday to Saturday with a day off during the week - to be arranged.
Key Responsibilities:
• Meeting and greeting patients
• Quality checking patients orders
• Assisting patients with choosing frames
• Assisting Dispensers where required
• Spectacle Fitting /Adjustments
• Covering reception when required
THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate for the role of Optical Assistant will have previous experience working in a similar role. It's key that you are patient focused and enjoy delivering exceptional service.
Key experience essential for the Optical Assistant role:
• Previous experience as an Optical Assistant
• Live within a commutable distance of Peterborough
• Experience in an Independent Optician would be highly advantageous but not essential
