Our client is a leader in the research and development of T cell-based therapies for the treatment of cancer. The business is rapidly growing in both the UK and USA and they have multiple early-phase clinical trials ongoing in oncology centres across both the US and Europe.Build and run of the Global IT Infrastructure Operations and Services function. The scope of this position includes but not limited to Data Centers (on-premise and cloud), Servers, Storage, Disaster Recovery, Voice and Data Networks and Connectivity, Enterprise Collaboration Technologies, End User Computing, Enterprise Applications and Solutions, Mobility, Infrastructure Architecture, Infrastructure Security, Regulated Infrastructure Support, Help Desk and Desk Side services.

The primary objectives of this position are to provide team leadership, drive quality and scalability in global infrastructure operations, further develop a measurable service orientation, and ensure efficient and effective operational processes that adapt to the dynamics of the business. Ensure all Infrastructure Operation services meet expectations as measured by service level agreements, key performance indicators, and best practices in IT architecture, IT security, GxP compliance, and IT production operations support. Hands on role expected to supervise functional managers and oversee daily operations, lead key projects within scope, participate in operations, and plan for future growth.

This role is part of the global Information Technology Leadership Team, is highly visible, and therefore expected to positively impact the overall delivery of information technology services.Plan, resource and deliver on project portfolio. Plan and oversee the deployment, upgrade, refresh, monitoring, maintenance, break-fix and operational support of all enterprise technologies and services in scope. Deliver a single-IT approach toward managing and delivering infrastructure technology and services. Partner with others to drive toward solutions.Own and pull through approved IT strategies and priorities for the Infrastructure Operations function to deliver on Company and/or IT goals and objectives.Responsible for definition and achievement of Infrastructure Operations' service level agreements, key performance indicators, and best practices in IT architecture, IT security, GxP compliance, regulated systems operations, and IT production operations support. Own disaster recovery and business continuity, including planning, documentation, and implementation and testing. Leads the organization in the resumption of services in the event of serious disruption of IT services. Own Change / Release management processes for Infrastructure Operations function. Responsible for development and implementation of Infrastructure Operations' IT security, GxP and compliance policies, the execution of regular IT audits, on-going monitoring, remediation of findings, and the implementation of risk mitigation activities, where applicable. Define, lead and evolve implementation plans and roadmap for the infrastructure based on global business requirements and IT strategies. Manages the benchmarking, analysis and recommendations for the improvement of the IT infrastructure and IT systems. Participate in IT strategic planning, project planning and budget planning efforts. 20+ years in IT function, 10+ years' experience in leading global Infrastructure Operations function. Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering Strong technical competence for technology in scope. Significant previous pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience. Experience supporting infrastructure in a GxP Environment Able and at ease in partnering with non-technical users and business leaders Strong foundation in IT security or cyber security for Biotech industry ITIL Certification, GxP training, and/or IT Security training (CIS or CISSP) Advanced degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or Business IT architecture and systems integration (applications and data)
