Senior Programme Manager, Grants
Location: London, Birmingham
Salary: GBP35,000 - GBP45,000 per annum + benefits
Contract: permanent, full time
About the role
Ecorys UK are looking for a Senior Programme Manager to lead the grant management process on behalf of our clients within the UK.
We are currently winning significant levels of managing grant programme delivery for multiple sector clients. Due to this growth, we are looking to further expand our strong team that will champion this area.
The Senior Programme Manager will undertake a range of tasks across the whole grant management cycle, including, financial management, due diligence, assurance, dissemination and communications, evaluation as well as assessment, monitoring and support to grantees. They will often act as the primary point of contact with clients and grant recipients. They may work within a single grant programme, or across several, meaning that they will need to maintain their understanding of the systems, priorities and deadlines for each. The key task of the Senior Programme Manager is to help fulfil the stated aims of our grant programmes by supporting high quality applications; managing thorough assessments and appraisals of applications, overseeing the monitoring progress of individual projects and directing support where needed. They will often work alongside associates, external partners or specialists when providing support to specific programmes and will manage project support staff.
The role will contribute significantly to the future direction of the business; working with some of the highest profile bodies in the UK. They will be heavily involved in winning new business for the company through contributions to major tenders and proposals and by identifying and nurturing new contacts and opportunities.
The ideal person
We would be looking for you to demonstrate the following:
Essential
Understanding of full cycle grant-giving processes for revenue and/or capital funding streams;
Have run a grant funding process from end to end, including delivery of support capacity building;
Commitment to social and economic inclusion.
Desired
Knowledge of grant-giving bodies in the UK;
Understanding of national, regional and sub-regional policy-makers in the UK;
Experience of working with the voluntary and community sector;
Financial or auditing qualification.
