REFUSE COLLECTION DRIVER/LOADER

(LGV Category 2 Plus DCPC Qualification)

£20,784 per annum

37 hour week

We are looking for an experienced Class 2 driver to join the Council's award winning recycling2go team. As a leader in the waste management sector our reliance on high quality staff is essential. As well as having responsibility for the vehicle during the course of the work you will be assisting in the collection of domestic waste and liasing closely with other members of the crew to ensure that the best possible service is given to our residents.

A flexible approach to work is essential as in addition to collecting domestic waste and recyclables you will be required to assist with other waste collection duties too including glass collections and the collection of large bulky items of furniture.

Applicants should be prepared to work both weekends and bank holidays as required to deliver the full range of our services.

Applicants must have a full driving license (LGV CATEGORY 2 PLUS DCPC QUALIFICATION), be able to provide good customer service and able to work effectively as part of a small team or on their own. Experience of refuse collections, route planning and tipping along with knowledge of refuse collection vehicles is essential. Knowledge of the geographical make-up of the Borough of Rushcliffe would be desirable.
