LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT

27.5 hours per week-term time only. 17.5 permanent hours and 10 hours subject to funding. 

Monday - Friday 8.45 am - 3.15pm - (We would consider splitting this post for the right candidates)

Salary: By negotiation depending on experience

Start date to be discussed at interview, but as soon as possible after the May half term at the latest.

We are looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant with previous experience of working with children with language/communication difficulties and who has a love of learning and able to inspire and enthuse children.  You will be required to support classroom teaching in the morning and provide 1:1 support in the afternoons for a named child, currently in reception, who has language and communication difficulties.

The successful candidate will be able to establish positive relationships with our children, parents and members of staff and will have:

• A good standard of education, to GCSE grade C maths and English together with a qualification relevant to supporting the learning process in school.
• Previous experience of working with children in an educational setting and preferably experience working with children with language/communication difficulties.
• Lots of initiative, a good sense of humour and the ability to work as part of a team
• The desire to play a full part in the life of our school and uphold our Christian values.
