Our client, a South Yorkshire based software company are recruiting for a senior level Product and Development Manager in the Microsoft Dynamics arena to join them through expansion. Specializing in ERP solutions, the organisation are a Gold partner with Microsoft. They offer a range of IT ser vices however their main area of expertise falls under Dynamic friendly extensions. The company offer these to small to medium sized enterprises across the UK.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• A senior level software developer with successful technical lead experience and experience of dealing with a small team of developers.

• Ability to lead and manage a team of software developers, responsibilities include technical recruitment, appraisals, one-to-one meetings, identifying training needs, motivating, coaching and performance managing the team

• Maintain our Dynamics NAV Plus product suite as our core differentiator.

• Advanced level (knowledge and experience) of programming languages and methodologies, ideally C/AL, C/SIDE, C++ or C#.

• Drive the strategic direction of our products & services taking into account the direction that Microsoft are taking.

• Plan for team growth considering the blend/level of skills required within team

• Review project progress and overview of the performance of all individuals in team

• Facilitate the smooth delivery of all projects, enhancements and support delivered by the team alongside the Project Management and Delivery Team.

• Facilitate technology and methodology decision making throughout team.

• To make sure that all training and support that team members require is delivered internally or externally.
  Keep up to date with the latest software development technologies and methodologies

• Drive consistent standards and approaches throughout the team

• Write clean and healthy structured, well documented code and deliver code which is well tested and error free.

• Oversee all technical development quotes, analysis, specifications to make sure they are

• complete and accurate, supported by other members of the team

• Implementing and monitoring ongoing strategies to enable us to deliver quality and

• excellence through robust testing education and policies that are balanced and appropriate to the scope of project being delivered.

• Strong Leadership, professional attitude and self motivated - lead by example.

• Innovative and creative, with a concise, precise and effective approach to problem solving and the ability to develop, deliver and evaluate brilliant ideas founded on rock-solid strategic thinking

• Credible, confident and articulate, with excellent communication and presentation skills with a strong customer focus.

• Proactive and highly organised, with strong time management and planning skills.

• Able to meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
