Accounts Senior

Accounts Senior required for the rapidly expanding Business Advisory team of this established mid-tier firm of Chartered Accountants in Edinburgh. The team provide high quality advice and assistance in every aspect of their clients' financial and accounting needs allowing their owners to concentrate on generating income for their business activities.

Role responsibilities:

- Preparation of accounts including management accounts
- Preparing budgets
- Planning and completion of files
- Ensuring complete and accurate statutory disclosures
- liaising/meeting with clients regarding queries etc
- Presenting accounts and correspondence for manager review
- Assisting with ad-hoc advisory work

Skills required:

- Minimum of four years relevant practice experience, in a business advisory/accounts team, probably within a small/medium firm using computerised accounting software
- Strong debits and credits
- Experience of accounts preparation including limited companies, sole-traders and partnerships with an understanding of a range of technical aspects, disclosure requirements and how clients may need specific advice
- Strong knowledge of company disclosure requirements
- Broad knowledge of small business taxation including VAT
- Ability to recognise potential tax implications
- Client facing experience
- Sage line 50 & Xero
- Driving licence
