Quantity Surveyor - Decent Homes - Basingstoke - Decent Homes - ASAP - Up to GBP40,000 D.O.E p.a. plus package.
Meridian Business Support is seeking a Quantity Surveyor on a behalf of a Residential Main Contractor to oversee a series of high value external wall insulation (EWI) schemes on defence estates projects in the South West of England.
Based out of a regional office in Basingstoke and Reporting to a Regional QS, you will have responsibility for commercial aspects on all contracts in falling within the South West of England. You will be working closely with decent homes and social housing providers. Duties to include; Identifying sub-contractor labour requirements, sourcing suitable sub contractors, preparing and agreeing contract rates and sub contractor payments.
Key Skills and Background
- Construction Related Degree or Equivalent qualification
- Background within the decent homes residential sector is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of forms of contract, NEC, JCT Design & Build
- Must have experience of dealing with sub-contractors and raising submission of valuations
- At least 3 years experience in a similar role.
