Required Technical Skills
The successful candidate is likely to satisfy the following requirements:
* Experience with hardware and/or sub-system validation, as well as internal software/firmware verification processes with an appreciation and understanding of design
* Experience of working in a major system integrator in a relevant industry (e.g. Space, aerospace, military)
* An understanding of RF testing and verification
* Demonstrate good time management Ability to identify and mitigate risks.

Desirable Attributes
* Experience in system level integration and test of electrical sub-systems is considered an advantage.
* Demonstrate a firm understanding of Spacecraft/aerospace electrical system architectures
* A good understanding of relevant international standards such as ESCC, MIL-STD, CCSDS etc

Job Description:
The Electrical System Engineering and Verification Department designs, and delivers spacecraft electrical sub-systems. As an Electrical Subsystems Engineer, you will have the opportunity to directly contribute to the delivery of the X-Band Communication sub-system to the Solar Orbiter Spacecraft.

As the project is in the verification phase the successful candidate will not be required to carry out any physical design work, but will need to have considerable knowledge, understanding and appreciation of RF Communication Sub system design that has been completed for reporting results and analysis.

The role will involve the following activities:
* Generation of sub-system test specification, and review of corresponding test procedure, and test reports.
* Responsibility for verification and close out of system level requirements relating to the Communication sub-system, and supporting functional verification activities. Generation of electrical test assessment reports.
* Oversee integration activities for communication module, waveguide and antennas, and support verification campaign through to launch.
* Resolution of non-conformances and deviations.
